Oshoala, Banda, Chawinga Headline CAF's WAFCON 2026 Stars Spotlight Webinar

With the CAF Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Morocco 2026 just over a week away, the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) will stage the second edition of its Stars Spotlight Webinar Series, bringing together some of Africa's biggest names in women's football, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The English-language webinar is scheduled for Wednesday, 15 July 2026, at 14:00 GMT (17:00 Cairo time), providing media professionals and key football stakeholders with direct access to leading players ahead of the continent's premier women's football tournament, which will be held from 26 July to 16 August 2026.

The session will be moderated by renowned sports journalist Usher Komugisha and will feature seven of Africa's top female footballers expected to play key roles at the tournament. The panel includes Nigeria's Asisat Oshoala, Zambia's Barbra Banda, South Africa's Refiloe Jane, Malawi's Tabitha Chawinga, Ghana's Cynthia F. Konlan, Egypt's Nadine Ghazi and Tanzania's Anastazia Katunzi.

During the webinar, the players will discuss their preparations for WAFCON Morocco 2026, their expectations and ambitions for the competition, as well as the continued development and growing profile of women's football across the African continent.

The interactive event will conclude with a live question-and-answer session, allowing accredited media representatives to engage directly with the players and gain insight into their preparations ahead of the tournament.
