Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala has predicted the future of women's football in the next five years, BSNsports.com.ng has gathered.
FC Barcelona Femenà attacker was part of the Super Falcons team to the ongoing African Women Cup of Nations in Morocco but has since returned to Spain after she sustained an injury in the first match against South Africa.
While speaking to the CAF media, Oshoala said female football will be a hot cake in the nearest future.
"In the next five years, I see women's football as one of the top sports, where people will be willing to go into the stadium to watch games and people will also be having difficulty in getting tickets because it would be sold out.
"When you put on your television you will see women soccer advertisements and women soccer news on the internet, I think that is where women's football will be in the next five years," she said.
Oshoala remained one of the most successful female players in the world, winning Player of the Year in Africa for a record four times and has also lifted the UEFA Women's Champions League as the first African to do so.
