Oshogbo Bubbles As Governor Adeleke Hosts D'Tigress' Star Adenike In State House

D'Tigress forward and 21-year-old Olawuyi Adenike was honored to be hosted at the Osun State Government House in the capital city of Oshogbo, by incumbent Governor - H.E. Governor Ademola Adeleke in the late hours of Thursday 10th August 2023, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Olawuyi was invited to the State House alongside her personal trainer following the team's golden triumph at the 2023 FIBA Women's Afrobasket tournament in Rwanda.

The Governor expressed his pleasure in the gesture as he poured accolades on Olawuyi's campaign alongside the D'Tigress early in August.

"I received Osun State-born basketballer, Olawuyi Adenike, who is also a member of the Nigerian Basketball Team, yesterday evening. 

"I congratulated her on the Gold medal they won at the just concluded Afrobasket 'Rwanda 2023' and restated our admin commitment to sports development," the Governor posted on his page.

His Excellency also used the avenue to bask in the euphoria of home-born achievements linked with the Living Spring State of Osun.

"It's always a moment of pride for me to see young and ambitious people from Osun State achieve great things. 

"This is a testimony that with hard work, passion, and dedication, you can achieve almost anything," he said.
