Osimhen, Adams Send Nigeria Into Semifinal Date With Morocco

Nigeria’s Super Eagles will face tournament hosts Morocco in the semifinals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations following a convincing 2–0 quarterfinal victory over Algeria, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The three-time African champions secured their place in the last four through early second-half goals from Victor Osimhen and Akor Adams. Both players made decisive impacts immediately after the restart, breaking Algeria’s resistance and giving Nigeria firm control of the contest.
Having finished as runners-up at the 2023 edition, the Super Eagles are widely regarded as one of the favourites among the remaining semifinalists, buoyed by their disciplined performances and attacking efficiency throughout the tournament.
However, Nigeria face a formidable challenge against the Atlas Lions of Morocco. Playing on home soil and backed by passionate support, the hosts boast a squad rich in quality and pace, particularly in transition when in possession of the ball.
Morocco booked their semifinal place with a victory over Cameroon and will be aiming to capitalise on home advantage as they seek continental glory.
