Osimhen Features As Napoil Suffers Home Defeat To Real Madrid

Nigeria's Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen featured for Italian champions, SSC Napoil in their 3-2 home defeat to Real Madrid, in the UEFA Champions League Matchday 2 Group C encounter in Naples, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigeria International played the full duration of the game, but could not be on the score sheet for the Rudi Gracia led side, at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, Naples. 

Real Madrid secures their second victory in the group through goals by Brazilian forward Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham. 

While Leo Ostigard and Piotr ZieliÅ„ski both scored for the serie A champions in their home and first defeat in the Champions League this season.

The Nigerian international, Osimhen had some key moments in the game but the Real Madrid defence had other plans and stopped him from gaining more grounds in the game. 

The Super Eagles top man has scored five goals in nine matches in all competitions this season for Napoil. 

Napoil will be hoping to return to winning ways when they take on Fiorentina, in the Serie A Matchday 8 encounter, on Sunday, at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, Naples.
