Osimhen Is A Complete Center-Forward, Peseiro Wax Lyrical Of Nigerian Ahead Of Portugal Friendly

Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro could not hide his joy over the incredible form of his striker Victor Osimhen with the Serie A table leaders Napoli, BSNSports.com.ng reports

Osimhen has been one of the best performers for Napoli this season. Despite injury concerns, the 23-year-old hitman has scored nine goals in 13 games for the Partenopeans, eight of which have been in the league.

This, coupled with his impressive performance for the national team, has caught the attention of so many, including top clubs in Europe and definitely coach Jose Peseiro.

“He scores a lot and he’s young. It’s not easy, striker usually gets to this level later in their career. 

"He can do everything: press, hit the net, use his body. He is capable of playing everywhere.

“He’s thriving at Napoli, and they are playing great, so the relationship is mutually beneficial,” Peseiro told Tuttomercatoweb.

On the possibility of Napoli keeping the former Lille man, Peseiro feels, it won’t be easy.

“It won’t be easy for them to keep him considering his value and the bids they will receive. He’s a complete centre-forward, and he works hard in the defensive phase too.”

Nigeria plays Portugal in a friendly game on Thursday, November 17 at the Estádio José Alvalade in Lisbon with Osimhen expected to be invited for the tie.
