Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has etched his name into the history books of European football.

The Galatasaray forward scored his 10th goal in the UEFA Champions League, making him Nigeria’s all-time top scorer in the competition and surpassing the previous record held by Obafemi Martins, who netted nine times, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Osimhen’s remarkable feat is not only a personal triumph but also a significant milestone for African football, further underlining the growing impact of Nigerian players on the biggest stage of European club football.

Since his debut in the competition, Osimhen has showcased his scoring prowess across three clubs: LOSC Lille in France, Napoli in Italy, and now Galatasaray in Turkey.

His consistency, resilience, and hunger for goals have made him a standout figure among African stars in Europe.

With age still on his side, Osimhen is poised to extend his record even further, setting a new benchmark for future Nigerian talents to aspire to in the Champions League.
