Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen continued his impressive form by scoring his 28th goal of the season, reports BSNSports.com.ng.

He netted a first-half brace, giving Galatasaray a 2-0 lead in their Turkish Cup quarter-final match against Fenerbahçe on Wednesday night at Ulker Stadium.

Osimhen, who shot his team to the semi-finals opened the scoring in the 10th minute and extended the lead in the 27th minute with a penalty, awarded after the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) determined that Kaan Ayhan had handled the ball in the box.

Fenerbahçe managed to pull one back before halftime, bringing the score to 2-1.

Osimhen's latest brace takes his season tally to 28 goals and five assists in 32 matches across all competitions, bringing his total goal contributions to 33.

His goals secured Galatasaray's victory over Fenerbahçe in the Turkish Cup quarterfinals, setting the stage for the Yellow-Reds to push for a domestic double this season.
