Osimhen Pens Emotional Tribute To Fans, Hails Galatasaray Title Push
By Niyi Busari
Victor Osimhen has paid a heartfelt tribute to Galatasaray and their supporters after the club moved within touching distance of the Turkish Super Lig title following a crucial 2-0 victory over Trabzonspor, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Nigerian striker, on loan in Istanbul, took to Instagram to share his pride and gratitude in the aftermath of the win, which leaves the league leaders needing just two points from their remaining three matches to clinch the title.
“Another big step taken! Super proud of this team!!!!” Osimhen wrote. “To the Galatasaray fans, your energy fuels us. We feel your passion in every pass, every tackle, every goal. We’re almost there — the league title is within touching distance. Time to start warming up those dancing shoes!”
Goals from Abdulkerim Bardakci and Alvaro Morata sealed the win for the Cim-Bom, a day after title rivals Fenerbahce briefly reignited their challenge with a 4-1 rout of Basaksehir. Galatasaray’s response reaffirmed their dominance, maintaining an eight-point cushion at the top of the table.
Though Osimhen didn’t add to his 24-goal haul this season, the 26-year-old led the line with trademark intensity, once again proving vital to the team's attacking drive.
With the Turkish Cup final on the horizon, Osimhen urged focus and unity as Galatasaray aims for a domestic double.
“It’s not over yet,” he added. “All focus now turns to Wednesday. Let’s finish this season the Galatasaray way: with pride, passion, and silverware. God is the Greatest.”
As his loan spell nears its end, Osimhen's connection with Galatasaray and its supporters remains strong. With one hand on the league trophy and eyes on the cup, the Istanbul giants are primed for a potentially historic finish.
