Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen would prefer a move to Chelsea if the opportunity presented itself, as teams like Arsenal and Tottenham are also interested, BSNSports com.ng has sourced.
According to Calcio Mercato, Chelsea have a better chance of signing Victor Osimhen, as the 24-year-old prefers a move to Stamford Bridge. The report acknowledges the interest of other Premier League sides like Arsenal and Tottenham, but the Nigerian would lean towards a move to Stamford Bridge if an opportune presented itself.
When the Napoli rift broke through, many top clubs remained alert about the possibility of signing Victor Osimhen. At 24 years old, he is still one of Europe’s deadliest strikers. Many teams will want to sign him.
Despite Napoli’s protracted efforts to keep hold of the 24-year-old for the long term, the idea of him departing next summer looms large. Some reports suggested he was open to joining Tottenham, as the north Londoners are keen to sign him if possible.
Similarly, Arsenal also holds a long-standing interest in Osimhen, but Mikel Arteta is still deciding about investing in a striker in January. The Gunners have enough firepower up front and are also linked to Ivan Toney as a potential option to shore up their strikeforce.
Osimhen, for his part, will cost a hefty transfer fee despite entering the final year of his deal next summer. For all this while, Chelsea have remained the front-runner for a variety of reasons, mainly due to a rich history with notable African players in the past.
