Osimhen Scores 22nd League Goal As Galatasaray Cruise To Victory

Victor Osimhen continued his brilliant form, scoring and providing an assist as Galatasaray hammered Eyupspor 5-1 away in the Turkish Super Lig on Sunday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian striker has now netted 22 goals and recorded five assists in 26 league appearances this season.

Across all competitions, Osimhen boasts an impressive 31 goals and six assists in 36 matches.

The 26-year-old has also been in red-hot form recently, scoring five goals in his last five games. Osimhen set up Roland Sallai for Galatasaray’s opener in the 29th minute.

Lucas Torreira doubled the lead in the 56th minute before Osimhen added the third goal in the 71st minute.

Eyupspor briefly pulled one back through Lucas Claro in the 79th minute, but Alvaro Morata restored Galatasaray’s three-goal cushion with a strike in the 87th minute before adding his second in the 90th minute to seal a commanding 5-1 victory.

With the win, Galatasaray moves to 80 points, five clear of second-placed Fenerbahce at the top of the table.
