Osimhen Scores 29th Goal In Galatasaray Win Over Samsunspor

Nigeria striker, Victor Osimhen scored his 29th goal of the season as Galatasaray defeated Samsunspor 2-0 in the Turkish Super League on Friday.

In 33 games, Osimhen has scored 29 goals in all competitions and five assists for Galatasaray since joining the team at the beginning of the current season.

In the 14th minute, Galatasaray took the lead through Yunus Akgun.

Osimhen extended the visitors’ advantage one minute after the interval, with Akgun assisting.

It was the Nigeria international’s 21st league goal of the season for the reigning champions.

The 26-year-old has 28 goals and five assists in 33 games in all competitions for the Yellow and Reds.

The former Wolfsburg striker is the highest goal scorer in the Turkish league with 21 goals with two goals separating him from Krzysztof Piatek who scored 19. Third in the race for golden boot is Simon Banza with 17 goas.

He was substituted by Spain’s Alvaro Morata 14 minutes from time.

Galatasaray, aiming for a third consecutive league title, leads the standings with 74 points from 29 matches.
