Osimhen Shifts Focus To Nigeria, Gabon Clash

Following Galatasaray’s surprise 1-0 defeat to Kocaelispor in the Turkish Super Lig on Sunday, Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has turned his full attention to Nigeria’s crucial World Cup playoff game against Gabon, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The Red and Blood were undone by a solitary strike in a tightly contested encounter, but Osimhen, who featured in the game, was quick to move on from the disappointment.

“I have to travel. The game has happened, it has happened,” Osimhen said.

“I have moved on from that. Now I focus on my national team.”

Nigeria will take on Gabon in the semi-final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup African playoffs on Thursday in Rabat, Morocco.

Kick-off is scheduled for 5 p.m. Nigerian time.
