Osimhen Strike Earns Napoli Important Away Win In Rome

Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen's lone strike was all Napoli needed to maintain their top of the table status after a 1-0 win over Roma.

The former FIFA U17 highest goal scorer has contributed immensely to Napoli’s excellent performance in the Italian Serie A this season.

Osimhen found the net in the well deserved 1-0 win, with his goal coming in the 81st minute as Napoli maintained their fine form.

The goal which he scored brilliantly was his fourth of the Italian top flight season, having registered goals against Hellas Verona, Monza and Bologna.

The 23-year-old has established himself as a key player for the Azzurri since his big-money move from Lille in 2020, scoring 33 goals and providing 10 assists in 71 appearances across all competitions.

Osimhen, who became the most expensive African player of all time when Napoli signed the striker from Lille for around £70m, is under contract at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium until June 2025.
