Arsenal has been advised to exercise caution regarding any plans to sign Victor Osimhen as their necentre-forwardrd, despite the Nigeria international’s impressive goal-scoring record, BSNSports.com.ng has sourced.

The need for a new striker has become apparent for Arsenal following Gabriel Jesus’s ACL injury.

The club is exploring options for the January transfer window, recognizing that they likely needed an upgrade on Jesus for the long term anyway.

Osimhen could be a viable option, as he is currently on loan at Galatasaray but has a break clause allowing him to leave for certain clubs, including Arsenal.

Even if a move in January is not feasible, Osimhen's future remains uncertain at the end of the season, which could put Arsenal in contention for the Napoli-owned forward.

However, a pundit has issued a warning that Osimhen's rumoureded attitude issues might make him a risky investment.

Darren Bent questioned on talkSPORT, “Is Victor Osimhen going to be the answer? Yes, he was good at Napoli, but his attitude has been questioned on occasion, which poses a risk. I just don’t think you can guarantee that he is the guy who will score us 20 or 25 goals.”

Osimhen has already scored 14 goals this season, following 17 goals last season at Napoli.

The year before that, during Napoli's Serie A title win, he scored 31 goals, marking the highest tally of his career.
