Osimhen’s Surprise Early Return Sparks Mixed Reactions Among Galatasaray Supporters

Galatasaray has released a series of training-ground photos featuring Victor Osimhen in high spirits, offering reassurance to supporters ahead of the club’s high-stakes derby against Fenerbahçe on Monday, December 1, 2025, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian striker participated fully in training on Friday, continuing his accelerated return from a moderate hamstring injury.

Osimhen’s early comeback has sparked mixed reactions among Galatasaray fans, who remain cautious despite their excitement. Moderate hamstring strains typically require three to four weeks of recovery, and supporters fear a potential recurrence similar to the setback suffered by Wilfried Singo, who sustained a Grade 2C hamstring injury shortly after returning to heavy minutes.

The concerns come at a crucial moment for the Turkish giants, as Mauro Icardi’s fitness remains uncertain following the club’s recent fixture against Union Saint-Gilloise. Osimhen, who has been prolific in the UEFA Champions League scoring six goals in three matches continues to be Galatasaray’s primary attacking option.

The club’s social media update did not spotlight Osimhen alone. The photos also showed teammates Leroy Sané, Lucas Torreira, and Gabriel Sara smiling as they completed Galatasaray’s penultimate training session before their trip to Kadıköy. The images were captioned with yellow and red heart emojis, reflecting the club’s colours.

Osimhen, who has managed just three league goals this season, is eager to rediscover his domestic form. Signed for €75 million to elevate Galatasaray’s European ambitions, the striker will look to make an immediate impact as the team continues to navigate injury challenges.
