Osimhen's Transfer Funds Ready - Galatasaray

In a discussion about Victor Osimhen's transfer, Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek confirmed that the necessary funds for the star player have been secured.

Özbek stated in a press conference on Friday, "We have signed Osimhen on a four-year contract. There is a cost and a payment method. No one is saying, 'This transfer has been completed; let's see how it will be paid.'"

He added, "Don't assume it's different from that. When we initiated this transfer, we planned ahead and accounted for how it would be financed and how we would manage the costs of the newly formed squad. This crucial aspect is being overlooked."

Özbek emphasized that Galatasaray has sponsorship agreements and revenue from past endeavors.

He acknowledged the concerns but reassured that Galatasaray has made significant strides compared to last year, in terms of brand value, footballing capability, and project development.

"We are no longer in the same position. Galatasaray has reached a new level. This positive trajectory will continue; it’s our responsibility. We wouldn’t consider ourselves successful if we left Galatasaray in the same state as when we took over. Our goal is to elevate Galatasaray substantially," he remarked.

He concluded, "We are committed to this mission. Projects are progressing, and we’re already seeing the results. There’s a consensus that Galatasaray has reached a certain level, and we won’t halt our progress. The developments I have achieved with my colleagues since 2022 will accelerate and reach even greater heights."
