Our Position On NPFL Log Is Great Concern For Everyone - Akwa United Stand-in Captain

Ahead of their clash against Gombe United on Wednesday, the stand-in captain of Akwa United David Philip has said their position on the league table is a great concern for everyone, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Promise Keepers remained rock bottom after match day 5 of the league without a win so far in the league.

Philips who was part of the victorious team in 2021, said they are not happy about the situation and they are ready to change the story.

"Our position on the league table is a matter of great concern to everyone at the club and we are fully aware that it is up to us to get it right in our next game. 

It’s unbelievable that we are without a win after five matches. Where we are on the table doesn’t reflect the way we played those games", he told the club media.

Akwa United will host Gombe United in Eket on Wednesday in match day 6 of the league.
