Oyo State Announces Shake-Up at Crown FC Following NNL Season

The Oyo State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development has suspended the management and technical crew of Crown Football Club, Ogbomoso, with immediate effect, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The affected officials, led by the club's management chairman, Mr. Olamide Ilupeju, were relieved of their duties following a directive issued by the ministry under the leadership of the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Wasilat Adegoke.
The suspension was conveyed in a letter dated June 10, 2026, and signed by the ministry's Director overseeing the club, Mr. Raheem F.A., on behalf of the commissioner.
While announcing the decision, the commissioner congratulated Crown FC, popularly known as the Ajilete Warriors, and its supporters for successfully avoiding relegation in the recently concluded 2025/2026 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.
Hon. Adegoke also assured stakeholders that the ministry would undertake a comprehensive repositioning and structural review of the club as part of preparations for the 2026/2027 NNL campaign.
The ministry stated that the move is aimed at strengthening the club's operations and enhancing its competitiveness ahead of the new season.
