Paris Saint-Germain have stepped up their pursuit of Victor Osimhen, with reports indicating the Ligue 1 champions are willing to engage in negotiations over the €150 million valuation placed on the striker by Galatasaray, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Galatasaray are understood to be firm in their stance that the Nigeria international will only be sold if their asking price is met in full. Osimhen remains under contract with the Istanbul club until 2029, strengthening their position ahead of the summer transfer window.

PSG’s renewed interest is reportedly linked to manager Luis Enrique’s desire to add a more physical and direct attacking option to his squad. Questions surrounding the long-term future of Portuguese forward Gonçalo Ramos have also contributed to the club’s search for a recognised centre-forward.

According to Diario AS, PSG consider Osimhen one of the leading candidates to strengthen their attack, although several top European clubs are also monitoring the situation.

The report claims Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Arsenal FC, Liverpool FC and Juventus FC have all shown interest in the striker following his impressive performances in Turkey.

FIFA-licensed agent Mithat Halis believes Osimhen would be particularly well suited to Real Madrid, citing the club’s need for a natural centre-forward since the departure of Karim Benzema.

“Osimhen is a complete striker,” Halis told AS. “He is not limited to being a traditional number nine or a penalty-box player. He can play with his back to goal, break down compact defences and also operate deeper when needed.”

Halis added that the Nigerian’s versatility and work rate could complement attackers such as Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Júnior by allowing them to operate more naturally in wide areas.

Osimhen has enjoyed a prolific spell at Galatasaray, registering 57 goals and 16 assists in 73 appearances for the Turkish champions. His combination of pace, aerial strength and pressing ability has established him as one of Europe’s most highly rated forwards.

Despite ongoing transfer speculation, the striker has consistently expressed his satisfaction with life in Istanbul and praised the support he has received from Galatasaray fans.

“Everything here is on another level,” Osimhen said. “The supporters show affection everywhere, both at matches and outside football. They are the best fans I have seen in my career.”
