Panic As FIFA Auditor Storms Ghana

FIFA, through its auditors, EY Switzerland, has officially commenced the FIFA 2025 Central Review process with the Ghana Football Association (GFA), BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The auditors arrived in Ghana to conduct a thorough review of the GFA's financial accounts for the 2025 financial year. 

This process, aimed at ensuring transparency and compliance with FIFA's financial regulations, has sent ripples of anxiety through local football circles as the audit’s scope and outcomes remain uncertain.

The review process is part of FIFA’s regular checks on its member associations, and comes at a time of heightened focus on governance in African football. 

GFA officials are expected to cooperate with the auditors to ensure a smooth process, although the potential implications of the review have raised concerns within the association.
