Paok Salonika Register Ekong For UEFA Conference League

Barely three weeks after joining the team, Nigeria's Super Eagles defender William Troost Ekong is already making the news with the Greek league giant Paok Salonika, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The former Bursaspor of Turkey defender moved to the Greek league this summer from the English Championship side after having a successful loan spell with the Italian Serie A side Salernitana.

He resumed training with the team immediately after passing his medical and he has proved his mettle in a few warm-up games he has played.

The club released the list of players registered for this year's UEFA Conference League and the name of the Nigeria international featured prominently on the list.

Paok have been drawn to commence their campaign in the competition against Beitar Jerusalem and Ekong is expected to start the game.
