Newly crowned African champion Justina Tiana Eyakpobeyan has insisted that she will become an Olympic champion in no distant future, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Eyakpobeyan alongside Tima Godbless, Olayinka Olajide, and Tobi Amusan clinched a gold medal at the just concluded African Athletics Championship in Douala, Cameroon.

" Having competed with the World's best athletes at the last World Athletics Championship in Budapest and World Relays in the Bahamas this year, my confidence level has increased.

" Very soon I will mount the podium at the Olympic Games to celebrate my gold medal, that is my dream and it will surely come to pass", she told Guardian Correspondent.

Eyakpobeyan hit the limelight at the U18 and U20 trials in Kaduna in 2023 where she won the 100m and 200m titles.
