Paris 2024: I'm Happy To Score Against Nigeria - Japan Attacker

Japan's attacker Tanaka Minami has expressed her excitement after scoring against Nigeria's Super Falcons in the final group game, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Japan thrashed Super Falcons 3-1 with Tanaka scoring the second goal in the 32nd minute.

" Of course, scoring a goal is my number one priority, and I've always been aiming for it, but I'm happy that I was able to contribute to the team in terms of defence and starting points. 

Risa has been fighting alongside me for a long time, and I feel like we were able to break through together", she said.

Japan will contend with the United States in the quarter-final of the games.
