Paris 2024: Nigeria, Others Get Deadline From FIFA

Ahead of the 2024 Olympics in Paris, France, the World soccer governing body has given its interested member association Including Nigeria a deadline to register their interests, BSNsports.com.ng can report.


Nigeria's Dream Team who clinched the gold medal in Atlanta '96 failed to play at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics after they crashed out of the qualifiers.


According to the report coming from the FIFA headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland, April 29th, 2022 is the deadline date for any country that is hoping to take part in qualifiers of the football events of the Olympics.


After registering for the qualifiers, it will begin with preliminary rounds up to the final qualifying rounds.


16 teams will qualify to take part in the Olympics slated for Paris in 2024.


Nigeria's Dream Team is one of the countries that has won all the available medals in the football event having won gold ( 1996), Silver ( 2008) and Bronze ( 2016).
