Paris 2024: Omotayo Out Of The Table Tennis Singles

Team Nigeria table tennis started their campaign in the ongoing Olympic Games on a wrong note as Olajide Omotayo bowed out in the round of 64, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

He was drawn against Iranian Noshad Alamiyan, an opponent considered to be unpredictable.

Omotayo started the game strongly and clinched the first set 11-6 but Alamiyan came back smoking from the game 2nd set to win 11-5.

He continued his dominance into the 3rd set with 11-4, 12-10 and later wrapped up the game 11-8 which made 4-1 in his favour.
