Paris 2024: We Are Going To Treat Super Falcons With Kid Gloves - Span Veteran Defender

Ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Span veteran defender Irene Parades has declared that all their group opponents will be treated the same way, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Spanish national team began with victory at the FIFA Women's World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023.

That success was followed in 2024 with the inaugural UEFA Women’s Nations League title and qualification for the UEFA Women's EURO 2025.

Paredes is a team leader, despite not wearing the armband, and a woman who combines football and parenting striving to be the best she can in both roles.

Next month she will embark on her latest quest with Spain, and said that her sights are firmly set on Olympic gold.

Spain is placed in the same group with Brazil, Japan and Nigeria's Super Falcons.

" It promises to be a fierce battle, the games are sure to be very intense from the beginning. Obviously, we cannot look beyond whichever team we’re facing on the day.

" It makes no sense to be thinking about a medal or reaching the quarter-finals.

" We have to win our group games by treating them as if they were finals", she said.
