Paris 2024: Why I Failed To Reach 100M Final- Favour Ashe

Team Nigeria sprinter Favour Ashe has revealed the reason he failed to reach the final of the men's 100 meters in Paris, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

After producing a magnificent performance in the heat, the Nigerian International, who picked the last non-automatic spot into the semifinal, started very well in the race, but he couldn't match the finishing of the rest.

While speaking to Making of Champ on video, Ashe blamed the umpire for the performance.

" I would say, I was physically and mentally ready , I came into the race fully prepared but I stumbled at the blocks, like I almost fell down, I thinks that was because the umpire didn't perform well.

" We didn't do a test block, so I stumbled ", he said.

Ashe is expected to be in action when Team Nigeria take part in the 4×100 meters Relay.
