Paris Olympics: Super Falcons Suffer Defeat In Opener To Brazil

Super Falcons of Nigeria suffered a narrow one-nil defeat to Brazil in their opening game at the Paris 2024 Olympics, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The South American side took the lead in the 37th minute through Gabi Nunes following a brilliant slide-through pass from Veteran forward, Marta, taking the lead against Randy Waldrum’s ladies into half-time.

The Super Falcons made a return to the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament after 16 years. 

Super Falcons next game is against Spain in the round 2 tie in the next three days consisting of women's world champions Spain and Japan.
