Paris Olympics: Super Falcons Will Bounce Back To Winning Ways - Ajibade

Rasheedat Ajibade, who led the Super Falcons to the turf of the Stade Matmut Atlantique, as Nigeria’s flag was flown at the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament for the first time in 16 years has assured that the team will bounce back to winning ways, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The nine-time African champions suffered a 1-0 defeat to Brazil in their opening game at the Paris Olympics via a 37th-minute strike by Gabi Nunes.

Ajibade, who expressed joy to captain the team assured that they will keep working hard to make the country proud. 

"I give all the glory to God for being able to play and captain the team at the Olympics.

"I am incredibly proud of the team, but it just was not our day. We will keep working to make the country proud. Thank you for your support."

Next up for the Super Falcons is a clash with world champions Spain – who defeated Japan 2-1 in Group C’s opener–in Nantes on Sunday evening.
