Paris Olympics: Team Nigeria Out Of Women's Discus Event In 1st Round

Team Nigeria trio of African Champion Ashley Anumba, Chioma Onyekwere and Obiageri Amaechi have exited the Paris 2024 Olympics after the first round of the Women's Discus, reports BSNSports.com.ng.

According to Making of Champions, 

Both Chioma Onyekwere and Obiageri Amaechi made history being a part of an impressive trio who represented Nigeria in the Discus event at the Olympics .

Both Chioma and Obiageri finished 15th and 16th with marks of 60.78m and 45.45m respectively, missing out from making the final of women's Discus, while Anumba finished on the 14th spot. 

In the overall standings, Onyekwere, Anumba and Amaechi placed 21st, 29th and 32nd respectively.
