Personal Terms Delay Osimhen's Transfer Premier League
Ibrahim Lateef
Napoli plans to resolve the Victor Osimhen situation once and for all in the summer, intending to use the proceeds from his transfer to fund multiple signings. Although there was some talk about a possible transfer in January, developments have been minimal, BSNSports.com.ng has gathered from Fabrizio Romano (via SOSFanta).
The Super Eagles striker is currently thriving on loan at Galatasaray, which will help Napoli secure the full amount of his €70–75 million release clause.
He has frequently been linked with a move to the Premier League; however, while he wanted to leave last year, he was not fixated on moving to any specific country.
Instead, Osimhen prioritized maintaining his salary of €11–12 million, which he achieved during his time in Turkey.
He was also open to a move to Saudi Arabia to fulfill his ambitions. It remains uncertain whether Galatasaray will make another significant investment for two consecutive seasons, as they would need to spend substantially on the transfer fee.
Chelsea has shown interest in the Nigerian striker, but their highest offer was only €7–8 million per year. Osimhen is expected to choose the club that offers him the highest salary.
