Peseiro: Ademola Lookman Has Reached His Best Level At Atalanta

Super Eagles Portuguese coach Jose Peseiro has hailed the current form of Atalanta winger Ademola Lookman, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The former Leicester City attacker is on-loan at La Dea this season from RB Leipzig.

Peseiro told TMW: "Lookman previously played in England Under 21.

"I think he did well in England and Germany but I think now, at Atalanta, he has reached his best level. He will have to do it again but he is doing great things: he scores, he has quality, he's talented, and he plays with his teammates.

"He needs to improve but it also applies to Lookman: he's young and will grow again. Atalanta has placed him in the ideal environment."

In a separate development, Peseiro admits Nigeria wants to cap Atalanta prospect Caleb Okoli.

The Italy U21 international's family has Nigerian connections.

Peseiro told TMW: "We want to convince him to play for Nigeria. We will try.

"After this friendly match against Portugal, there will be time to talk to him and to understand his decision. Whether he wants to play with us or not.

"I will talk to him through (Ademola) Lookman's brokerage.

"I will show him, my model, what I think of him, the project we can have together with Nigeria."
