Peseiro Congratulates Enyimba For Emerging 2023 NPFL Champions

Super Eagles head Coach, Jose Peseiro has congratulated the 2023 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions, Enyimba International.

"Congratulations to the new champions, Enyimba FC, for the ninth title win in their history.

Congratulations also to the other 5 teams that participated in the Super Six play-offs." Peseiro wrote on his verified twitter handle.

Enyimba won its ninth NPFL title on Sunday night at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos after 1-1 draw with former champions, Rivers United. Enyimba International, Remo Stars and Rivers United finsihed 1st, 2nd and 3rd on the log with 9 points each after five games in the just-concluded NPFL Super 6 play-offs. However, Enyimba and Remo Stars qualified to represent Nigeria in the 2023/24 CAF Champions League based on superior goals difference while third placed Rivers United picked CAF Confederation Cup ticket.
