Nigeria's Super Eagles coach Jose Paseiro has demonstrated his joy following the Super Eagles performance in his first outing as the team coach, BSNsports.com.ng reports.

The former Al Ahly gaffer resumed as the head coach of Nigeria national men football team in May and was in charge for the International friendly matches against Mexico and Ecuador which ended in defeat for the team.

Peseiro took charge of his first competitive game against Leone Stars of Sierra Leone in the opening Group A game of the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifier which he won 2-1.

He sealed it up with a historic 0-10 win against Sao Tome and Principe in the second match of the qualifier.

He reacted through his social media (Twitter) handle where he expressed his happiness to achieve the feat.

" We achieved our goal of points won, grew as a group and conquered a historical record, always based on fundamental values: team spirit and mutual help.

We made the Nigerian nation proud. We are focused on improving our work to achieve our goals," he said

Peseiro will hope to continue his impressive performance when the AFCON qualifier resumes in August.
