Peseiro Mums On His Future With Super Eagles

Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro has refused to talk about his future with the Nigeria senior national team when he was asked on Monday in Lagos, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Super Eagles resumed training on Monday ahead of their match-day 5 African Nations Cup qualifier game versus Sierra Leone, Peseiro who led the team in training refused to tell journalists on whether or not his contract with the team would be extended by his employer, the Nigeria Football Federation.

In his response, he said, "My future is to train the team today, tomorrow, Thursday, Friday till Saturday. Play the game against Sierra Leone on Sunday and beat them and qualify for the African Nations Cup."

The 63 year old Portuguese was announced as Eagles coach in May 2022 and his one year contract supposed to have expired but has to complete the assignment for the 2023 African Nations Cup qualifiers.

Nigeria will trade tackles with Sierra Leone on Sunday, 18th June, 2023 at the Samuel Doe Stadium, Liberia and a win guarantee an AFCON ticket for the three times African Champions.
