Peseiro Picks Osimhen As Super Eagles Penalty Taker

Super Eagles head coach has picked in-form Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen as Super Eagles penalty taker, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
The Portuguese tactician on Wednesday night with 20 minutes to the end of their one hour training separately trained Osimhen on penalty takings. He drilled Osimhen and Kenneth Omeruo on penalties in a 20-minute training. Osimhen converted 8 out of 10 penalties while Omeruo was able to score 6 in 10 penalties. The three goalkeepers in camp (Francis Uzoho, Victor Sochima and Kingsley Aniagboso) were rotated with each keeper in between the sticks for five penalties. Much concentration was on Francis Uzoho who was in the goalpost for 10 penalties but could save three.
The training started with Possible XI (Team A) facing Team B with aim of perfecting the strategy ahead Friday's Nigeria versus Guinea Bissau 2023 AFCON qualifier tie.
After the head coach who monitored the training made some changes, the Possible starting XI for Super Eagles have Francis Uzoho in goalpost while Kelvin Akpoguma, Calvin Bassey, Bright Osayi Samuel, Sanusi formed the four-man defense. Wilfred Ndidi and Alex Iwobi are two holding midfielders while Samuel Chukwueze and Moses Simon played from the wings with Victor Osimhen and Kelechi Iheanacho played as double striker.
Team B consists of Kenneth Omeruo, Semi Ajayi, Daniel Bamaiyi and Bruno Onyemaechi as the defenders while while Frank Onyeka and Joe Aribo in the middle of the pack. Ahmed Musa, Paul Onuachu, Ademola Lookman and Terem Moffi completed the team.
Nigeria will on Friday in Abuja at 5:00 pm slug it out with Guinea Bissau in group A top of the table duel in the 2023 African Nations Cup qualifier.
