Away from the Super Eagles 2-1 win against Leone Stars of Sierra Leone in the opening Group A game of the AFCON 2023 qualifiers, coach Jose Peseiro has set the ball rolling 24hours later for the next game ahead in Marrakech, Morocco.


The Portuguese on Friday evening had to split his Super Eagles squad into two different sessions as the team prepare for the MatchDay fixture in the qualifiers against Soa Tome and Principe next week.


Match winner against the Leone Stars, Victor Osimhen, Alex Iwobi, Simon Moses and majority of the players that started the AFCON 2023 qualifiers at the MKO Abiola Stadium including Etebo worked in the gym under the watchful eyes of the Super Eagles Physio Trainers.


Peseiro, Finidi George and one of his foreign assistants were first to get to the stadium before the Super Eagles and other staffs.


Captain Ahmed Musa, Cyriel Dessers, Frank Oyenka and others trained with Peseiro marching out instructions to the lads.



The Super Eagles contingent will jet off to Marrakech, Morocco on Saturday for the encounter against the Falcons of Sao Tome and Principe.


Osimhen, Iwobi and other Stars will hope for a starting shirt as Nigeria will play Sao Tome and Príncipe on Monday, June 13, at Marrakech.
