Plateau United Unveil Technical Adviser, Coach Ahead 2023/24 NPL Season

Plateau United have unveiled the duo of Mbwas Mangut and Patrick Mancha as Technical Adviser and Coach of the team ahead of the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier League season, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

This was contained in a statement released by the club on Wednesday which reads in part, "Ahead of the fast approaching Nigeria Premier League NPF, Management of 2017 NPFL Champions of Plateau United Football Club of Jos has unveiled a new Technical Adviser for the team and Chief Coach.

"He is former Rangers International of Enugu Chief Coach, Mbwas Mangut and Patrick Mancha who qualified Plateau United back to the Nigeria Professional Football League , NPFL in 2016. The dou were unveiled at an elaborate ceremony held at the Club House in Jos.

Speaking at the occasion, Habila Hosea Mutla said management decided to start from home by bringing in the two coaches who have contributed immensely to the development of the team and the game.

Mutla explained that Plateau State has produced some of the best coaches in the country , that is why his management deems it fit to start from home by appointing the two indigenous coaches who also played for the team in the past.

" The efforts of coaches who have led the team to success both in Nigeria and the continent. But as management, we decided to come down home and after a careful study of our coaches, we settled for the Mbwas and Patrick who have contributed to the success of the team in the past" Habila said.

Fidelis Ilechukwu who was the head coach of the team last season resigned to become the coach of Rangers International.
