Player Ratings: Osimhen Flies High, As Adebayo Adeleye Impresses Against Sierra Leone

The Super Eagles of Nigeria saved the best moments for the last minute as Kelechi Ịheanachọ snatched the maximum points with a 90+5 minutes strike to wrap up the MatchDay 5 encounter played on neutral turf with Sierra Leone as the away team.

BSNSports.com.ng rates the performances of the Super Eagles who starred in the game, from the goalkeeping department to the forwards, with the likes of Adebayo Adeleye, Kenneth Omeruo, Joseph Aribo, and Victor Osimhen all soaring high.

Victor Osimhen continued his blistering form in front of the goal as he replicated his club form for his country, by bagging a brace within the first half, scoring in the 19th and 32nd minutes.

Osimhen also contributed to the around play of the team, occasionally drifting wide to the left, while allowing breathing space for Joe Aribo in the advanced midfield role, and Samuel Chukwueze on the right flank, to the headache of the home side.

At the other end of the pitch, Adebayo Adeleye impressed with 4 key saves despite conceding two second half goals, but his decisiveness, quick reflexes, and coordination of his defense line contributed in keeping Nigeria in the game in spite of the fight back by the Leone Stars.

The central defensive pairing of Kenneth Omeruo and Semilogo Ajayi also sparked good vibes for future purposes, as the team remained confident when building from the back, with Bright Osayi-Samuel and Zaidu Sanusi on the right and left side of the back line, supporting accordingly.

Although, much were left to be seen from Alexander Iwobi and Wilfred Ndidi in the middle of the pack, due to lack of solidity and creativity from both, Moses Simon and Samuel Chukwueze on both sides of the attacking midfield compensated well.

Substitutes Kelechi Ịheanachọ and Taiwo Awoniyi took on from whence Samuel Chukwueze and Victor Osimhen respectively left off, with the former getting the winner, and the latter gaining at least 3 attempts at goal.
