Players and officials of Nigeria’s senior national team, the Super Eagles, have begun arriving in Antalya ahead of their upcoming international friendly matches, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The development was confirmed by the team’s Media Officer, Promise Efoghe, in a statement shared on social media on Monday.
According to Efoghe, the team’s camp officially opened in Antalya at the start of the international window, with members of the coaching crew and backroom staff already en route.
“Super Eagles camp for the international window opens today in Antalya, Turkey. Coaches and team officials have arrived Istanbul and will touch down in Antalya at noon. Arrival of players is expected before close of business,” he stated.
While the identities of the early-arriving players were not disclosed, assistant coaches Fidelis Ilechukwu and Daniel Ogunmodede are among those confirmed to have arrived in Turkey as of Monday.
The three-time African champions are scheduled to face Iran national football team in a friendly on March 27, before taking on Jordan national football team on March 31, as part of preparations during the FIFA international window.
