Portland Thorns Reveals Reason For Signing Super Falcons Nicole Payne,

American Women Football League side Portland Thorns through its Operational Manager Karina LeBlanc has revealed the reason for the acquisition of Nigeria's Super Falcons star Nicole Payne, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The American side announced her signing on loan from the French Feminine side PSG.

 LeBlanc confirmed that her physical presence is one of the key reason they acquired her.

"Nicole is an exciting addition to our roster, she is a defender first and foremost, but also has an incredible drive and desire to get forward and impact the game higher up the field. 

"This coupled with her physical capabilities to do so, make her a very exciting asset for us,” he said 

Payne was part of the Super Falcons team to the 2022 Women's African Cup of Nations in Morocco but missed the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup.
