Porto-Novo, the capital of Benin, is set to host a two-day high-level training programme for General Coordinators from the West African Football Union Zone B (WAFU-B), BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The capacity-building workshop, scheduled for February 25–26, will bring together representatives from the seven member nations of CAF Zone West B.
Each country is represented by four General Coordinators as part of efforts to enhance operational efficiency across the zone.
The training is being led by respected Confederation of African Football (CAF) instructor Mustapha Slaoui, who is tasked with aligning participants with the latest CAF regulations and administrative standards.
According to organisers, the initiative is designed to professionalise and harmonise match coordination and competition management within the region.
It is also aimed at raising the overall operational level of WAFU-B competitions in line with CAF’s evolving governance framework.
The programme is expected to equip the General Coordinators with updated technical knowledge, improved management tools, and a unified understanding of CAF competition protocols.
With all seven member associations in attendance, the training underscores WAFU-B’s commitment to institutional strengthening and improved football administration across West Africa.
