After securing the rights to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup, Portugal, Morocco, and Spain have submitted a bid to stage another World Cup, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The three nations, set to jointly host the men's tournament in 2030 following the 2026 edition in Canada, Mexico, and the United States, are now aiming to organize the 2035 FIFA Women's World Cup.

Spanish Football Federation President Rafael Lozertin confirmed on Saturday that discussions have been finalized for the joint bid.

"We want Spain to host the Women's World Cup in 2035 alongside Portugal and Morocco," he stated.

"There is no better way to promote women's sports than by organizing the biggest event in world football," he added.
