Former Nigerian under 20 star Saviour Godwin was exceptional for his Portuguese club-side Casa Pia FC on Saturday, as he guided them to a convincing 3-0 victory over Estrella FC to move to the top of the league table, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The 25 years old has been impressive for the club since the beginning of the season, and he was able to impress again on Saturday in their well deserved victory.
Saviour Godwin led his team's attack alongside Carnejy Antoine and Jota and the trio were able to contribute their quotas to the team's deserved victory.
Malta national team star Zach Muscat opened scoring for the home team in the 31st minutes and Leonardo Lelo doubled the lead in the 44th minutes to end the first half 2-0.
Leandro Sanca scored the last goal of the game in the 78th minutes via a fine teamwork from Nigerian Saviour Godwin and Afonso Tiara to end the match 3-0.
Savour Godwin performed brilliantly for the home team throughout the whole duration of the game, and he was able to guide them to a remarkable home victory.
The 3-0 victory over Estrella FC has now taken Casa Pia football club to the top spot of the Portuguese Primeira Liga 2 table with 62 points from 31 matches played, and they are on verge of gaining automatic promotion to the Portuguese Primeira Liga 1.
