It was all joy for former Nigeria's Flying Eagles attacker Saviour Godwin as his Portuguese Segunda division club Casa Pia secured promotion to the primera Liga, BSNsports.com.ng understand.
Pia who missed the promotion by mere whisker in the past has been showing tremendous consistency since the start of the season with the Nigeria international propelling the club with his scintillating display.
The club finally gained promotion to the elite division on Sunday after a 1-5 away win against Leixoes.
Pia netted 4 goals just before halftime through Muskat, Jao Oliviera, and 2 goals from Jota Silva off an assist from Saviour.
Bolgado scored a consolatory goal for the host in the 61st minute before Poloni sealed the game in the 90+3 minute.
They finished second with 68 points in 34 matches behind Rio Ave.
Saviour who was replaced in the 80th minute scored 10 goals and 3 assists in 28 games for Pia this season.
