Mauritania has provided insights to Nigeria's Super Eagles, three-time AFCON champions, on how to face Tunisia ahead of the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco this December, reports BSNSports.com.ng.

In a pre-AFCON 2025 friendly match on Wednesday night at the Hammadi Agrebi Stadium in Radès, Tunisia and Mauritania played to a 1-1 draw.

Firas Chaouat put the Carthage Eagles ahead in the 38th minute, but Mauritius equalized with a goal from Mohammed Sarr in the 50th minute.

Tunisia is set to face Nigeria in a Group C MatchDay 2 fixture on December 27.

The Tunisian national team has arranged a series of friendlies as part of their preparation for both the Arab Cup in Qatar and AFCON in Morocco.

Following Wednesday's match, the Carthage Eagles will take on Jordan at the same venue on November 14.

Their preparations will culminate in a high-profile match against Brazil in France on November 18, at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy in Lille.
