Pre-Olympic Qualifying Tournament: D'Tigers Coach Takes Responsibility For Poor Performance

By Sampson Adedeji

Following the ouster of Nigeria's D'Tigers from the ongoing Pre-Olympic qualifying tournament, the head coach of the team, Ogor Odaudu has accepted the blame for the team's poor performance, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian team lost the opening game narrowly to Senegal and nursed the hope of bouncing back against Mali but the hope was also dashed as they suffered another defeat to Mali.

The coach said he has no explanation about the game but took full responsibility for the team's failure.

“I have no explanation for the defeat to Mali. We have made mistakes and I take the blame.

“We did all we could to win on the court, but things did not work out. We did not have the best of preparations, but still, I take the blame. Hopefully, we move forward,” he said.
