Pre-Season : Rivers United Pips Heartland FC 2-1 In Port Harcourt

Rivers United got themselves back on track with their preseason preparation, after they defeated Heartland FC, 2-1 in a club friendly game played on Sunday morning, at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

Alex Oyowah’s second half header and Yao Benard’a late minute strike was enough to cancel out Heartland’s early strike in the first half.

Rivers United dominated the game in the first half but went behind before the break.

Stanley Eguma led side turned the game around immediately after the start of the second half to earn a deserved victory over the Naze Millionaires. 

The former NPFL champions will now concentrate on their CAF Confederation Cup second round clash against Burkina Faso side Etoile Filante.
