It was mixed feelings for Nigeria's Super Eagles midfielder Joe Aribo as his goal counted for little in Southampton 1-2 home loss to Everton who also had Alex Iwobi in their lineup, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Both Aribo and Iwobi started the game for their respective clubs in a keenly contested match at the St Mary's Stadium.

After a scoreless first half, Aribo who has been tormenting the backline of the Toffees opened scoring in the 50th minute and his second goal of the season.

Conor Coady brought Everton level two minutes later before McNeil netted the second for the away side off an assist from Iwobi.

Iwobi who was part of the Super Eagles team in an international friendly against Desert Foxes of Algeria gave another amazing performance in the game.
